TsAGI specialists participate in ALICIA project meeting

The first meeting of partnersinvolved in the «Navigational technologies» Workshop 3 of ALICIA «All conditionOperations and Innovative Cockpit Infrastructure» project under FP7, took placein Farnborough. The Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute corroborated in three ofsix ALICIA workshops.

At the meeting the representativesof the Russian Federation, the UK, Spain, Italy, Germany and the Czech Republicgave careful consideration to the reservation of intellectual property rights,created before the ALICIA project’s initiation, and to other issues of managerialand financial matters. The project coordinator — Agusta Westland HelicoptersCompany (the UK) — submitted the report on the financial status of the ALICIA project, on the contractual and technological documentation preparedness and onthe Consortium Agreement signing procedure.

The Russian Federation and themember states of the European Union jointly will carry out the research inadvanced Air Traffic Management technologies. The research outcomes can be usedto improve flight safety within Russian airspace, in consequence of thecollaboration of TsAGI in the ALICIA project.

The ALICIA project, approved bythe European Commission, is scheduled for implementation in September 2008. Forty-twopartners from fourteen countries are involved into project activities. The scheduledproject completion is forty-eight months.
